   Nominee Qualities, Accomplishments and Contributions:

   Write a short narrative for each area that applies to the nominee
    (45-65 words per area).


Dedication

Describe the selfless devotion to serving others in the field of special education, follow through on projects and commitments and years of service.


Integrity
Describe the alignment between what the nominee says and what he/she does.


Innovation and Creativity
Describe any innovative ideas or practices that the nominee has introduced in the field of special education and the use of divergent thinking to examine issues and develop solutions.


Leadership
Describe the ability of the nominee to persuade those who are inside and outside of his/her direct circle of influence. Provide at least one specific example.


Management
Describe the manner in which the nominee handles, supervises and controls situations and/or people (i.e. project management, classroom management, supervision of staff).


Instruction
Describe the way in which the nominee applies principles of effective instruction to teach  special education students or adults.


Special Projects
Describe one or more special education projects that the nominee developed, implemented and/or participated, including when the project occurred and how the nominee was involved.


Program Design or Improvement
Describe a program or improvement developed by the nominee that improved the lives of special education students or the process of serving this population.
